In this day and age I just don’t understand censorship, especially when it comes to literature. I recognize the need for age appropriateness, but limiting a student’s access only increases the curiosity. When I tell my students that every major work we read in our American LIterature courses has been banned at one time or another, they are shocked. My advice:
Go read a banned book!
