Great Week Ahead

I have a fantastic week ahead.
In my American Literature course we are finishing Poe’s “The Masque of the Red Death” and “The Raven.” Then the students get to finish their final projects, which they created for themselves.
In my College in the H.S. class we are reviewing for next week’s final, and then these students are also finishing their selected projects; however, I did mandate that they had to use every reading in the course in their projects.
In my Mythology course we finished our Star Wars and Mythology unit (a tremendous success) and are finishing looking at clips from modern films using mythological references (Gladiator, The Adventures of Baron von Munchausen, Fantasia, and more). We will finish with some review games.
In my Honors course the students are finishing The Princess Bride and completing their PB projects, also of their own creation. We finish this with a review game, too.
I get to facilitate learning rather than directly giving the kids information, which I love and the way I want things to go every week. They should discover and become curious on their own. It’s going to be a fun final week!

Doc, I’m REALLY looking forward to your assessment of how these projects went. Please clue us in as soon as you’ve got something to tell us.
